Side Trip While Seeing My Parents

While visiting my parents we decided to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Words truly can't describe the vast beauty! Just found out we are one document away from getting our visas to go to Belgium!

Learning To Listen

While in Colorado, a friend of mine, who noticed my propensity to talk too much, encouraged me to think of duct tape when I find myself flapping my lips too much. Good advice! I enjoyed listening to Ken's story in the tiny foyer of the Culpeper FM church last Sunday. He and several others have persevered through many hard times in that church and I believe God will honor their faithfulness. How about saying a brief prayer for God to make this church effective in reaching people for Jesus. Thanks!

Missionary Boot Camp

We are running the final lap of this 3 week intensive missionary training here in Colorado. Your probably thinking "you lucky dogs...Colorado in December!!!" and you would be right but not because of the awesomeness of the spectacularly awesome scenery. This program is literally changing my life for the better. By God's grace, I will be a better follower of Christ, a more awesome husband, a much more sensitive father, a wiser missionary and if God ever places us in a church in America, a more gentle shepherd. Why are we in Colorado?

I was confused which airport we were in but now that we've settled into 3 weeks of Missionary boot camp in beautiful Colorado..I feel a little settled...my clothes are actually in a drawer and not in my silver hardsided suitcase or on the floor of whatever room we've been given for a night. I can relate to Jesus.."no place to lay his head"
